Livia Gomes Demarchi

Livia Demarchi is a Latine actor and teaching artist originally from Brazil, now splitting her time between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Her theatrical journey stretches from powerful new works by celebrated Latine playwrights like Diana Burbano and Marisela Treviño Orta to the timeless rhythms of Shakespeare. Known for her command of complex language and a rich, unmistakable voice, Livia moves effortlessly between classical texts and contemporary plays, always grounded in emotional truth.

Recent stage highlights include playing Jane-Le-Le-Wa-You in Manahatta at Aurora Theatre Company, a critically acclaimed Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing with the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, and Miri in Sapience with both San Diego Rep’s Latinx New Play Festival and Playground SF.

On screen, she recently starred as Maria in the indie paranormal bisexual rom-com Dead in Love (available on Prime), and as a complicated matriarch in Last Words, selected as a finalist in the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival and at Loma Film Festival in 2025.
